Jobilla Makes the Difference for Dijkstein by Quickly and Effectively Finding the Right Candidates


In today's tight labor market, it's challenging to find technical and customer-oriented staff in the automotive industry. Dijkstein in Maassluis (Netherlands) faced limitations with traditional recruitment methods. Through a referral, owner Maikel Spek connected with Jobilla. Since partnering, Dijkstein has not only spoken to more candidates but, more importantly, to more relevant ones.

"We had tried everything," says Maikel. "But this works. The system is accessible, the responses are concrete, and we can focus on the conversations that truly matter."

How Did You First Come into Contact with Jobilla?

"It's actually quite funny," begins Maikel. "The first contact with Jobilla came through one of our customers. He conducts audits at car companies, and we got talking when we were looking for a receptionist. We had tried everything: newspaper ads, our website, Facebook, and working with various agencies. But without success.
I asked him, 'Do you do anything with recruitment? We notice that many agencies approach us with all sorts of promises, but often don't deliver.' He tipped me off about Jobilla because he had heard enthusiastic stories."

Maikel got in touch and spoke with Bertil Tiedink from Jobilla. Soon after, the first campaign followed, aimed at recruiting a mechanic. Later, two campaigns for receptionists were launched, which turned out to be spot on.

How Did You Handle Recruitment Before Jobilla?

"In the past, we could relatively easily fill vacancies through our network. We advertised modestly and always received responses," says Maikel. "But with the tight labor market, that has really changed. Then you try everything and realize: recruitment might not be my strongest suit," he says, laughing.

The search brought him into contact with staffing agencies that, according to Maikel, don't always offer the best quality/price ratio.

"Working with Jobilla is much more pleasant. It's more transparent and effective."

What Makes Jobilla Different from Other Parties?

"Jobilla ensures that your vacancy reaches people in an accessible way. You get many responses, and Jobilla contacts the candidates. That's something I can really recommend to everyone because everyone gets a response."

Maikel emphasizes how valuable that pre-selection is.

"We're busy. We want to spend our time on people who really fit with us. For the last vacancy, we had three good conversations, and the right candidate was among them. That Jobilla handles the first contact saves us a lot of time."

How Did You Experience the Guidance from Jobilla?

"It was very pleasant. They listened well, and my wishes were taken seriously throughout the process. That's important. I feel like I'm working with a party that really helps me."

A good example of this is the success of the last campaign.

"We had very specific wishes," says Maikel. "Honestly, I thought this would backfire. But precisely because we were specific, we received very targeted and motivated responses."
